Walking with four-legged friends in the regenerating post-gold-mining landscape of Napoleon Reef in unceded Wiradjuri Country, I am conscious of my forebears and non-Indigenous presence.
My art practice is anchored in my science background and has processes layered with new ways of seeing, thinking and being. The lively and timeless phenomena I sense and imagine from the trees, animals, earth and elements during my bush-schooling walks are portholes for me to think about notions of past, present and future all connected. My paintings are a response to place, time, connection and care.
